Welcome to the New Limpkinw.com

Hey all! I had to move servers and the old version of Vbulletin was not compatible so I did an update.

I know there is no activity here but we do get a lot of visitors, and quote a few old school Yahoo Gamers come by once in a while so I'd hate to take the site down.

Anyways I am going to try to reactivate user registration so some of the folks who forgot their login info can make new accounts.

Maybe I will get a bug up my a$$ and add back in the old arcade and stuff.

I am sorry for the UGLY theme but I will get that fixed at some point!

I hope everyone is well!!!!

i know alot of you who have seen the movie "hackers" have grown to love the word. with that in mind, read the definition of a hacker. it will lead you to the enlightenment you are wanting. i'm not an expert on anything really, but i do know that hacking is somewhat an art. being equiped with tactics, for example social engineering. this has been used time and time again since to dawn of bbs days. and i'm sure if you've seen the movie "hackers" you'll remember "dade murphy" calling up that television company and socially engineering the ?rent-a-cop?. people proclaim alot in yahoo! to be a hacker, in which they are totally not. do not be afraid of such a ridiculously USED word like, "i'm going to hack you". 90% of internet users are using the Windows(R) operating system. typically the "hackers" will say that the flavors of unix or linux are more superior. i'd like to say they're wrong, for the average user. a person with not that much literacy in computers can easily secure there PC with ease. there are more and more freeware programs out there, just like linux users have, coming out everyday. some are superior to the commercial products (ex. Spybot vs. adaware). i mean i see that there is no one posting in this topic, so i'd like to extend my hand for those in need of information. i won't be frequently visiting this site, mainly because i'm in school learning myself. i will try to do my best though.

Why do you think that I (for the most part) will have nothing to do with yahoo "hackers". The correct term they're looking to use is *cracker* (not meant as a derogatory slang towards their heritage, even though 90% of the time they are, and eerily enough, all seem to have 10 inch cocks). The movie "Hackers" is morbidly amusing at best, because even then, they still don't use lingo, or even technical information correctly.

So what exactly is anyone asking or wanting to say? For the most part everyone that stays in contact with know that when it comes anything to the terms hacking, modding, exploiting, social engineering... I've always been good.

So yeah, does anyone work on wireless security? If so i'd talk to start this thread on that topic.

        802.11 etc... WEP and WPA

Do most of you use anonymous proxies to browse the internet or mask?

i enjoy people watching "the screen savers" and thinking they're techies. expecially when they're saying "802.11", then refering to "WEP". you should google more before you post. i think what is still fun is radioshack . i'd actually like to get this thread started, so when i have time i can post (between classes or when i don't have a load of homework to do). i'm interested in helping people. i don't know that much i'll be honest, but i think i'm pretty skilled. i was just wanting to let some people read my opinions and thoughts on topics, but i see already one numb nut is trying to flame. i'll continue to post though.

moderators please inform me if i'm crossing the barrier.

Sorry, didn't mean for it to come across as an attempt to flame. I'm rather anal about technical correctness.
