Hmmmm, Ill put in my thoughts on this. On a few of the lists, a lot of these people are not good 1/0 players. They are just big names that people put on there because of their high rung and stuff. And many many are progs. People like utah are better than easily half the people on the list, but does that put him in the same category with people like negative, who can beat me 9 out of 10 easily, when I can beat utah 9 out of 10. NO. I still say, for the best list on this stuff, check out Kabir's site at www.geocities.com/oui For the most part, I agree with his descriptions, although he rated popsicle and sm0ked too highly based on friendships.

No, I dont pay at chess.net. They are going into a pay site progressively, every week deactivating some ids until they are all deactivated, and have to become a gold member (paying member) to reactivate them. This is going to go on until end of May, and then everyone there will be paying gold member, or part of the staff. Right now, I would say about 33% of the accounts have been deativated, mostly the newer ones. A friend of mine who is an admin there told me mine isn't going to be deactivated until the end of April, so I still have some free time left, but I will probably pay once it comes time.
