Ok so on WinMx how come the song just stops downloading sometimes? It doesn't do it that much on Kazaa, but does it all the time here? And how could you have Kazaa installed without all that spyware?

http://www.kazaalite.com

Download that utah, it's a mod verison of kazaa and it removes any "spyware" and adds. It's pretty good, i'd recommend it over WinMX because kazaa lite has options to download from a tree of people that has the same song so you won't ever have what happend to you on WinMX.

yeah but KazAalite uses the .dat transfer and that is a huge security issue for viruses and trojans so I like WinMX or Ares

jazz, you can have more people to download from if you use the openNap networks along with the winmx peer network.

as for kazaa(full version).....here is the program i use to remove the spyware and the ads in kazaa.

you have to reinstall the spyware and ad remover again if you update.

when you update you are also reinstalling the spyware, therefore you have to reinstall.....but it works for the latest version :D

Even with Kazaalite or w/e.. don't the ISP's have to release the names of those who download 600+ songs or something like that? I don't know.. but I've stopped downloading cuz of it

no problem, rich

i never heard about that isp releasing names before. hmm...

i had over 3000 songs...but now i have just over 2000. i lost all my subfolders that were in my 'my music' folder sometime during the reformatting process. i had lost all of my songs...everyone of them, didn't lose anything else except for my music folder. but fortunately i was able to get them back using some file recovery programs. i still can't find those sub folders though.

oh well........

I have just around 2000-3000. Maybe less. Some songs just get old... I lost a lot before due to a bunch of sh t so oh well. The news about that ISP's releasing the names of people who download was just told to me, and i read a tidbit of it in a magazine, thats all. I wonder if they would release all the names and what r the consquences

As of a late turn of events downloading music is really big no-no. One thing I think is funny is how and the hell are you going to crack down on people downloading software, that's pointless and they will never stop us. Instead I think they should try to find a different approach to this new breed of getting audio or just find a way to make profit from mo3's? As a young adult I have respect for certain artists therefore when a good band that I like comes out with a album i'll buy it instead of downloading the whole album.
