vbait.zip and some other files contain 2 viruses each, i forget where I got this one but the two viruses it contains are:
Bloodhound.File.String
BAT.Zor.Int

If you don't have antivirus software (you must live in a cave) then goto http://www.symantec.com and get a system scan done. My antivirus DID NOT pick the viruses up when I downloaded them, but after I installed them, one week later the virus came up when I ran a system scan.

I can't remember which site I got them off of, but I sure won't go back to them again.

I completely disagree. Since ive seen the sources to the progs, I know neither of them will code somehting as malicious as a virii. Elwyn isnt scum either. He's a very nice person but people take him the wrong way. Leb is the same way. They know what they are doing. As for leb being free, hes nice enough to give everyone a chance to use it. Not that big of a deal.

I am the one who made vbait. If you download it directly from my homepage, I can personally guaruntee you that it is free of virii. How do I know this? I have a computer at home that i use solely to compile programs and nothing else. And i know for a fact it is virus free. As for other people putting it up on their site, they can go ahead and do so, as long as they give me credit.

Secondly, it's also open source. Even if it did, by some remote chance, have a virus in the compiled executable, you could open the source project, and compile it yourself, assuming you have no virii on your own system to begin with.

Thirdly, if you look in the help file, you'll notice that it says "I do not recomment using this as your primary antivirus scanner"... HINT --- HINT!!!

And last but not least...VBAIT DOES NOT INSTALL ON YOUR COMP. It is a standalone executable (antivirus UTILITY) designed for a sandboxed environment.
