Five score months ago, a great american, in whose great shadow we stand signed the Ratman-cipation Proc-manipulation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of yahoo slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of yahoo unfairness.

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of pointless posts and childish attitudes, i still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the yahoo games dream.

I have a dream that one day in the land of yahoo that the sons of former boosters and the sons of former newbies will be able to sit down together at a table of cribbage, euchre, bridge or whatever game it is they so wish to play with a sense of brotherhood.

I have a dream that my children will one day play in a lounge where they will not be judged by the colour of their rating but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that fellow limpkinwpeeps can post without being ridiculed or slandered by the mal-aligned and mis-informed, that we can all live together and post humorous intelligent posts in the aim of furthering our wishes, be it programming, boosting or just passing the time.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every game lounge and every room, we will be able to speed up that day when all of yahoo's children, cribbers, chessers, eucherists, reds, purples even greens will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Limpkinw spiritual "Free at last! free at last! thank limpkinw, we are free at last."

I have a dream..........

if i'm in with a shout i'd be glad to moderate the music thread. if not, no worries

ps. thanks and respect to my old euchre partner malcom x for helping me write the speech.

10 out of 10 to all the folks who spotted the deliberate mistake in my speach:
it was martin luther king who made the "i have a dream" speach, and he is my bridge partner not euchre or cribbage.

i also have a dream that jazz would visit the doctor for treatment for his tourette's syndrome. jazz, when did you learn to swear and curse so much? believe me, that anger will get you no where.

Song So Far Away

This is my life
It's not what it was before
All these feelings I've shared
And these dreams
That I'd never lived before
Somebody shake me 'cause I
I must be sleeping

Now that we're here, it's so far away
All the struggle we thought was all in vain
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here, it's so far away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive, and I'm not ashamed
To be the person I am today

These are my words
That I've never said before
I think I'm doing okay
And this smile
That I've never shown before
Somebody shake me 'cause I
I must be sleeping

Now that we're here, it's so far away
All the struggle we thought was all in vain
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here, it's so far away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive, and I'm not ashamed
To be the person I am today

I'm so afraid of waking
Please don't shake me
Afraid of waking
Please dont shake me

Now that we're here, it's so far away
All the struggle we thought was all in vain
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here, it's so far away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive, and I'm not ashamed
To be the person I am today
