Does no1 have firewalls these days? :-s heh, nice post. I'll read more thoroughly lata, wood, wana write up a few simple telnet connections for this forum? My new server unit will be built within the next two weeks and uo and running on linux, we can test some 'fire-power' on that before I firewall it all up and run it properly. All just holla, i'll try and come back and read this thread, learning for my theory and my CIW though at the moment.. pff

you stil allow ports to open when using kazaa...i scan see peopel clicking ok thinkgin tis music.. ect..

k... the netbios trick works, but why go through all that trouble. Just scan the net bios port and see if file sharing is enabled then go to Start-> Run

in that box, type

//192.168.0.100

which is a test ip. and then if you want to make sure its remembered just map it as a network drive windows will edit the file by itself and some of them are password protected, XP stops the brute force crackers for them i used to use this way back befor xp came out thats when it was big and it was fun then.

I've never heard of a ip catcher, why don't you just use a packet sniffer. I mean anyone that is talking to me im gonna have there ip.... ip catcher my ass..

ppls pcs suck guys... dont bother unless they are servers.. hack websites using websnake by anawave.. it mirrors the files and allows you to browse through every file on the domain name, passwords are often encrypted but thats easily changed by john the ripper ;) spk2 u all soon.. wouldnt mind some tech. talk with stafford(wood) n chris(nscopex) if u want guys

kazaa a busy server. but you make a goodpoint at they are sharing to help you why be a dickin return. Power trip. It is easily hacked though.. hmm government would be fun to hack :P butgettnig caught wouldsuck

Ok. if you hack people with kazaa, what would be your goal? Music, Porn? Thats about all kazaa people have. Ive used net bios and got some pretty interesting files. But you gotta know. That on most shared computers, they all have virii in the shared files. So i used to clean computers with virii in shared files, but thats just me. Ive found names, address's, personal info, games, lists of friends, family, phone numbers, pictures, conversations of girls cheating on guys and vice versa. Many things. It's fun to see what others have, but also illegal.

why would anybody want to hack into another persons computer?? do hackers who play around with normal folks computers have such sad lives that they have to pry into other folks business to get a buzz. seems a pointless excercise to me, unless of course they're devoid of any imagination and need other people to think for them, or perhaps they're too lazy to study at school or train themselves up to a point where they can earn a decent living off their own back thorough good old fashioned hard work and need credit card information etc. to provide themselves with what ever trivial items they want but can't afford to buy themselves.
don't get me wrong folks i'm all for hacking, but hack the right peeps, ie. anything to do with the government, especially tax offices, intelligence services, media control agencies and any other office which is involved with bringing about a new world order of mind control and other big brother tactics.
if normal citizens want to share their files let them do so in peace and use your own tastes decide what you go looking for. live and let live folks and f**k the system.......freedom and the right to privacy should be everybodies main priority, get with the program folks, government included.

as for getting their IPs, I use a program called Log Viewer, just basically tells me what's coming in and out, its only capable with a linksys router, n it was made by linksys, www.linksys.com and search for it if you want.

I've done it before, not netbios, basic OptixPro on a kid from a game I play, heh didn't do anything really. Nothing special really.
