View Full Version : Zelda Collector's Edition on GC
Anyone else gonna get this? It's selling on ebay for $40. It's Zelda 1 and 2 from NES and Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask from the N64. I'm curious as to how Zelda 1 and 2 will be on it, but I also like Ocarina of Time and have yet to play Majora's Mask. It should kick ass.

Well, I am a big zelda fan, and I have over 700 posts on an IGN Zelda board. I am waiting for mine, renewed subscription to Nintendo Power about 3 weeks ago....waiting for the damn disk, many people have experienced delays. Do you have WW (Wind Waker) by chance? If you did, you shoulda gotten OoT and OoTMQ with it. But yeah, from what I have heard, Zelda 1 and 2 are just fine, but MM was ported very poorly. Many glitches in it that cause the game to freeze, or just restart. I haven't played it myself on the Collector's Disk, but from what I've read, it sounds kinda bad, but you can still play through it. Still worth it though, to have every game playable on Gamecube (all the gameboy zeldas, including ALttP can be played through gameboy player). But yeah, any questions, and I will for sure answer them.
I haven't gotten Wind Waker. My friend's mom got it (and the OoT disk with it), but I never really wanted to get it. Heck, I only have 3 Cube games already. Still, I'm looking forward to getting this. I haven't played OoT in forever cuz one of my old friends permanently borrowed it. Zelda 2 is always pretty fun too, being more of the RPG type than Zelda 1 (but they're both great games). I've never played Majora's Mask, so glitchy or not, it will be new to my eyes. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
By the way, do you know if there are more Zelda games in the making?

There is a sequel to WW in the works, using same cel-shaded graphic type. Also there is another gamecube zelda game that will be debuting in the next 6 months. It is like four swords for GBA, plus a small little adventure, and a party game all in one. It sounds crappy, it is for gamecube, but to play the four swords, you need GBAs to play it. I hate Nintendo trying to get people to buy their other consoles. You should get Eternal Darkness and TimeSplitters, both great games.
The only games I have are Metroid Prime, Sonic Mega Collection, and some NCAA football game. Actually, with the way the GC has been going lately, I might want to wait before I get any other games, because they'll probably go the way of N64 games. Even some of the good N64 games like OoT go for only $14 or so. I got Mischief Makers on the N64 for $10 a year ago...that game rocks. I didn't know it was made by Enix until I bought it even though I had played it a lot before. Enix is my favorite game company. I'm stoked to see what Square and Enix can accomplish in gaming together.

Quite possibly, people are dumb, but I think the deal is close to being over. If you wanted it, hurry and order Nintendo Power.
