Limp, Please explain

I scored 29 on city jumper last night, and then mail got the same score, and he gets the title.....then in simpsons shooter, shawn got a 3000, and I come back and get a 3000, but he keeps the title. Please explain this oddity?

sadly its a bug i believe in the arcade its supposed to take who did it in the shortest time period...doesnt always work.
