Yup :D

Right now, i've got a macro sorting through 800000+ crc32 signatures from a compilation of 12 different virus logs. The database is about to get a hell of a lot more massive.

sounds good but you can geta year of mcafee or norton for around 20-30.. maybe whenyou release it you should put it on sale for cheaper.. or think of being competitive.. cuz from what you have told me it is much faster than the commercial scanners

Thing is... that initial $40 charge and $5 per license... is a one time thing. So the longer you use the program, the more money you end up saving, because you only have to pay once, and then you get free updates for life.

which still leaves 1 problem.. how does 1 know you dind;t makea trojan masked by a virus scanner? :P anyways is till haven;t tried yoru scanners.. was thinking about it ona n old puter but your association with theory-x makes you not so trustworthy cuz they aren;t trust worthy.

For one, it's open source. If you don't trust the compiled sources included in the archives, you can compile the source code yourself, and still end up with the same program in question.... there is no malware bundled with it.

Secondly, I know you don't like theory-x. That's between you and them, not me. Wez and Mike have helped me out immensely in testing/developing this beast, along with Pat (pugamsish) as well. On top of the fact I'm almost certain they use the program as much as I do. I use the program almost on a daily basis for private testing and archive detection, to make sure that everything implemented is running properly.

Thirdly, the almost 12000 downloads that I've seen from people who have downloaded it, I'm yet to hear one complaint that it's hostile. Some people actually think it's a hoax, because you have to manually configure the settings to make it fully compatible with the scanner, but after I've shown them how... most of them are extremely satisfied with the results and speed.

The link above is only the most recent link, but within a day's time, the article itself has been accessed over 300 times. In addition to the other times the articles have been up and running, I know for a fact there have been at least 4000+ different hits from pscode.com.

I know you don't think I'm trustworthy b/c of your squabbles with theory-x, but I'm telling you, this stuff is not trojaned. You have my word on, as much as you may not trust it. And if you put it on an old 133MHz system and it somehow is trojaned... what's the worst that happens? We all lose credibility to everyone who has downloaded it, and you have to reinstall windows.

Think about it... by advertising this stuff, we're actually risking quite a bit.

lol dont ya think 40 bucks is a bit much to put into a 133 mhz puter? lol or is there an older free version for trial purposes?

As I explained before, the $40 is a one time fee... so the *LONGER* you use it, the more money you save. There is no yearly $30 subscription fee like every other scanner. Or a license renewal everytime you upgrade. For instance, you wanna buy the corporate version, and you wanna have it licensed to 3 computers...

$40+$5(license)*3 = $55

On top of being cheaper than any product on the market... that fee is a *ONE TIME FEE*. Spread $55 over the course of an arbitrary number of years. The more years that you use the product, the cheaper it actually is to use it. Not to mention the fact, once you obtain the program, you get free updates for life. Once again, that's cheaper than anything you'll find on the market.

As for the free version, no offense meant, kane... stop being a pussy and go visit the damn site.

kewl. Basically, if you want to configure other scanners with it, all you really need to know are their respective install paths... that, and use tweak.exe to configure the engine. You can do it other ways, but tweak.exe more or less does the grunt work for you.

It appears to be working fine. One thing you need to realize though, is that I can't control the traffic to the site. Just thought I'd point out the obvious again.

That's why I have plugin methods enabled. Right now, I have the version on my comp running the base engine, F-Prot, ClamWin, and Kaspersky.
