So, I want to know who you've seen play that u feel to be elite?

Here is a list (that I have seen in the past 3 months...generally 2100+)...

I'm sure I missed a few, but keep in mind I have not seen some of the legends I hear about :)...I will add more as they come to mind, and there are some great people out there, but this is based strictly on skill.

Blitz goes up to 3/0 so therefore i am! :D ... dont think any1 beat me 3/0 recently, 1/0 is lightning and yeah, im not too good 1/0, bout 1800-2100 pushing it alot, dont play enough anymore to be good. I agree with your list only that john is often quite weak and plays on the timer (pushes a fair bit), aber cant take losing! :) Makes me laugh,hehe..v.fast tho, when i was actually reasonably fast he was the only 1 who made 60moves with me in advanced, lhmenya completely deserves to be there, that aardvarka whatever too :)

lol...I am listing 2100+ with skill. I know of a few players that are around 2100 but they push more than skill so they don't make the list, but I haven't seen u play before really rating.

Abercrombie is a guy, and he doesn't push unless someone pushed him then he does it back to them, but only if it is really bad.

Yep pope, ur a decent 1/0 player but like u say, not on yahoo!, utah, i do have to say since u played 11000+ games ur not any better @ 1/0 than me on an average day. I played about 2000 1/0's if that :), saying that i have played alot more chess in general so it balances out. I also backup that aber is a guy. If i had a decent connection i'd rule! hehe, i beat a few 1800 t1 players other time, weird, but pope, ur connection is excellent, HELPS ALOT! :) Same with andy and shaw, all are good, 1/0 is mainly connection though, by this i mean, an average player can win on time over a higher rated player looking for mate, they might mate but if time doesnt permit then the weaker player can push to victory, time isnt an issue in 2/0 or 3/0 usually..if i play 3/0 i beat manual proggers on time and auto-progs are usually too weak, except lebs damn new 1! grr..sorry i had alot to say! :)

Once again...I only listed who I felt was elite and basically is always over 2100 without any or very little pushing. Pope, I have seen u at 2000ish, not 2100+. And it seems to me u can just see someone who is elite, I rate lhmenya is #1 out of the ones I seen, I feel he is elite and people that can compete with him are too. This is an opinion piece, if you don't feel I'm right I'm fine with that.

and pope isnt as good as he likes to think he is. I beat him 2-0 easy when i wasnt even that good...if i must remind him...i was up 8 seconds in the first game and a knight..and was up material in the next gave too (rook or bishop i think) and i won again. Since then i got way better....my rating is 2100 or so...but playing all the progs out there lowers it so its like 2070 but i havent played for a while. So i might not be as good as i was.

I got to 1715 ish before i gotta go bed, from and i made some new ids and got them 1800s, its any higher thats the harder bit tho! hehe, back to good ol' 3/0 me thinks! :)

Racked up over 4200 games now, about 50-60 games above 1:1 :)...I was like 200 under about a month ago. I have improved a lot, I used to play a lot of 2100+ so I lost like 8 or 9/10 (hence the bad record).

Sono, dog, we played each other at least more than 20 times. I won more of those games than you did.
I recall the 2 games most recently, and maybe 3 or 4 other times, we are not usually on at the same time. However, if u wish to settle this I'd love to play, 5 white 5 black or whatever. I don't like this kind of atmosphere (saying who is better and who isn't n all) so lets just drop the subject or settle it :)

yes i was 28 rung in like 2000...i got it from playing...and i was only like 1830 which was pretty good at the time (especially for a 7th grader...) and utah...he was struggling to get under 50, he was like 1600. I barely played him...because he sucked so much, he wasn't even a challenge. But when we did play...i 0wned him so easy. I only lost to him 1 time, dunno why. But we played at least 20 times, and like i said. i only lost 1 time. jazz you suck.
